Love comes in all shapes and sizes. Self Love, Friendship and Romantic. Today I'm sharing a poem for each. Happy Valentine's Day <3

For Self

You, who looks deep inwards is the greatest explorer.

To explore the mountain peaks takes preparation to be sure.

But to explore the deep seas of your own story takes courage unfiltered.

You, who reaches out when rejection is of equal chance is the greatest of warriors.

To strike another down with a fist takes force.

 But to speak the truth without ego is an unmatched force of nature.

You, who in the face of opposition speaks from compassion is the greatest teacher.

To quote another’s wisdom is to spread wisdom, yes.

But to lead from your own heart is the work of a master.

You, who overcomes fear by picking love is the greatest of lovers.

We can all learn to “ love” to gain self serving benefits

But to love when fear is the easier path - the greatest act of freedom.

You are all of these things and so much much more.

For Friendship

I leap knowing

I’ll always be caught,

I spin knowing,

I’ll tumble into hugs,

I cry knowing,

I’ll always be heard,

I laugh knowing,

I’m not judged.

I share all theses pieces of myself and more,

Knowing -

I’ll always be safe with you.

Thank you for being my friend.

Thank you for being my home.

For Lovers

Dance with me,

To La vie en rose,

Till the world around us,

Becomes black and white,

Slowly sway with me,

Till we have become fiction,

Ourselves,

Lost in a trance,

Till forever in this tenderness,

Just holding each other’s

Love

In each other’s

Hands.
